How our process works

Some of the "basics" when booking a house sit with us.

Pre-sit

After submitting your booking request we'll be in touch to discuss all the sit details. If you're a new client we'll schedule a site visit. We'll cover all of our house sit obligations and any queries or special requests you may have, in addition to all the normal house sit duties.

Should you agree to employ our services and sitter, we'll need you to sign our contract and pay 50% deposit at least three days before the sit is scheduled to begin.

During sit

You'll be provided with your sitter's contact details; feel free to check in with them as frequently as you may need to. They'll also send you frequent status updates.

Your sitter will use only the agreed upon living areas while in your home. Generally, this would include the kitchen, living room, one bedroom and bathroom.

Your sitter will supply their own bedding, towels, and food. Cooking will be limited to the microwave and stove top. Washing machines and dishwashers will not be used.

They'll take out your bins on collection day, water indoor plants and defined outdoor areas, sweep and net the pool if you have one, open/close windows and curtains daily, and ensure any home security is adequately attended to. (These tasks would be detailed together with you during the pre-sit consultation.)

Upon your return your sitter will provide you with a face-to-face summary of the sit and conduct a joint inspection.

Post-sit

We'll be in touch within 24 hours of your return to get your feedback.

You will need to settle the remaining 50% payment within two days of the sit ending.

In the unlikely event of the sitter disregarding any of your's or our rules, we will forego the 50% fee balance.
